"My intention was simply to treat the inflammation in my body. However I quickly lost 14 pounds. I’d gotten rid of all my pre-pregnancy pants because I found it depressing to hold onto pants I thought would never fit again. And now none of my pants fit and I’m hitting up thrift stores so I have something to put on my bottom half that won’t fall off. While that wasn’t my intention, I’m so grateful! It feels so good. I feel so much more confident in my body.
How about the effects that I was hoping for? Clearer mind. I established my business during this time. Long and energetic dance parties with my boys. I didn’t realize how SLUGGISH I have felt over the years.
I made my hubs do this with me because of a recent psoriasis diagnosis, and his skin has improved so much since making the changes.
I lost 18 lbs overall, but the most surprising realization is that I can do something this difficult during a difficult time in life. I stopped emotional eating and realized how poorly my body reacts to gluten. My skin cleared up and pain/inflammation in my feet was significantly reduced.
I liked that the plan was simple to follow and with guidance you had support and team leaders to ask questions along the way. I never felt deprived while observing the stricter portion of the plan. I loved the emotional guidance and modules that accompanied the eating plan. I was so inspired to keep going when I saw others persevering through hard times. These were pivotal to me rather than just focusing on food.
I could not have done this one on my own. I would have been emotional eating through the stress and likely 10-15 lbs heavier than I started.
This is not your average 21 day program, which allowed me to really learn how to tweak things based on what my body was doing over time. The recipes, guidance and support group really set this program apart. It was really helpful to hear from others what the process looked like for them.
